Six Grenadian students at Midwestern State University were recognized for their outstanding scholarly achievements and received induction into Alpha Chi, the honor society for underclassmen. The Grenadian Students were among the 32 inductees from the entire university. Nine other Caribbean students were also inducted.

With December 1st being celebrated as World Aids Day, the Ministry of Education is inviting all schools to participate in promoting activities that will bring greater awareness of issues on HIV/AIDS, so as to reduce the incidence of this disease, as well as the stigma and discrimination.
