Agricultural Science Workshop

The Ministry of Education will be hosting a one-day workshop for Agricultural Science Teachers of Forms 4 and 5. This workshop will be held on Thursday, January 18^th, 2007 at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Education , Botanical Gardens, St. George’s beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 3:00 p.m.

The objectives of the workshop are as follows:

To create a better understanding of the requirements of the 2006 Agricultural Science Syllabus.
To develop a standardized format for the preparation of the SBA component of the syllabus.
To improve the standard of work done by students.

Topics to be dealt with at the workshop includes:-

1. Changes in the CXC Agricultural Science Programme.

2. School- Based Assessment

· Skill objectives

· Farm Production System: Crop production and Broiler production portfolio.

3. Expectations of teachers and students.
