The day long retreat is being organized by the UNESCO Office for the Caribbean and the Education Development Center, Inc.

The objectives of this retreat are to:

·        Advocate for a comprehensive approach to health promotion and the mitigation of the impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the education sector;

·        Advance policies and programmes that protect the lives of students, their teachers and managers throughout the sector; and

·        Promote the greater inclusion of persons living with HIV and AIDS.
