Poster Competition - Observing Word Diabetes Day 2007
Wednesday 24th October, 2007- St. George’s: The Ministry of Health, Social Security, the Environment and Ecclesiastic Relations will be observing World Diabetes Day on Wednesday 14th November, 2007.
As part of this celebration, a poster competition is planned for students in Grades 4 & 5 of the primary schools. The theme for this year is “Diabetes in Children and Adolescents.” The main objective of this competition is to heighten students’ awareness re: the prevention and control of diabetes.
Students nine (9) to eleven (11) years are eligible to participate in the Poster Competition.
The Ministry of Education is kindly requesting the assistance of teachers in encouraging students to participate.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
Submitted artwork should be drawn or painted on white Bristol board 11’ x17”
• Use of colour is strongly encouraged
• Clarity of message on poster is important
• Artwork submitted must depict the theme
Deadline for submission to the Ministry of Health is Friday 2nd November, 2007 for judging.
