Advanced Labour Administration And Industrial Relations Training Seminar
Thursday 13th September, 2007- St. George’s: The International Labour Organization Subregional Office for the Caribbean will be conducting a training seminar entitled “Advanced Labour Administration and Industrial Relations” from Tuesday, 18th September to Thursday, 20th September 2007 at the Grenada Grand Beach Resort.
The purpose of the seminar is to review and discuss the following:
• the labour administration function and explore options for greater integration of the work of labour institutions;
• recent regional and national developments in industrial relations;
• define the responsibilities of tripartite labour advisory committees;
• tripartism, social dialogue and social partnerships;
• diagnostic studies of labour administration and functional and organizational reviews
• the staff training and development functions in labour administration
• auditing the labour administration function, and
• recommendations for improvement and greater effectiveness in the management and conduct of labour administration and industrial relations.
