ECERP Evaluation Meeting set for Grenada on September 14th.
Thursday 6th September 2007- St. George’s: Minister with responsibility for Education, Labour and Legal Affairs Hon. Claris Charles will host education officials from OECS member countries in a one day session at the Flamboyant Hotel on Friday 14th September, 2007.

Eastern Caribbean Education Reform Project (ECERP) during which the
findings of an evaluation will be presented.
The theme for the meeting
is Continuing the Collaboration: building on the Gains of ECERP. The meeting will provide an opportunity for professionals in education to pursue the following objectives:
• Assess the contribution of ECERP to national education reform agenda
•
Consider ways in which Member States can achieve greater integration
of the protocols and products developed through ECERP in their national
efforts
• Identify modalities for deepening sub-regional commitment to education reform and for sustaining the gains made so far
• Examine and align their contribution communication strategies with a view to enhancing collaboration and education reform
• Exchange ideas that could contribute to a dynamic refocusing of education reform in the pursuit of the OECS Economic Union
• Identify possible areas of emphasis for the OERU in pursuing sub-regional education reform.
At
the meeting the OERU will present a report on the achievement of ECERP,
concentrating particularly at the outcome and impact level.
