Regional Council of Martinique visits Grenada to discuss rehab of TAMCC's Arts and Science Division

A delegation from the Regional Council of Martinique headed by its Vice President and President of the Cooperation Commission Mr. Michel Michalon, today visited Grenada and met with Education Officials to discuss the procedure in relation to rehabilitation of the T.A. Marryshow Community College Arts and Science division.

The Government of Grenada entered into Agreement on July 12th, 2006 with the Martinique Regional Council to assist with the rehabilitation of two (2) buildings of the School for Arts, Science and Professional Studies at the T. A. Marryshow Community College. The Agreement was signed by Minister for Education and Labour Hon. Claris Charles.

The Agreement will see the financing of rehabilitation of the two building to the tune of approximately Euros (486,200 €). The agreement makes provision for Consultancy Services for design and supervision through the Martinique Regional Council recommended Consultant “Anonynm Art Architecture headed by Mr. Mark Frampton.

Among the issues discussed between Education and Labour Minister Hon. Claris Charles and the Martinique delegation were the establishment of a Project Management Committee comprising members from the Regional Council and Grenada, and the organization of monthly meetings in Grenada to discuss work progress, technical specifications, work alterations and financial value for work completed.
