New Payment Arrangements for Public Assistance and Needy Students
Wednesday, April 30, 2008, St. George’s: Due to the recent incidences of theft at the District Revenue Office (DRO) in St. Patrick’s and at the Magistracy in Grenville St. Andrew’s, the Government of Grenada, through the Ministry of Finance , has reviewed the security arrangements at all DROs and other Government Cash Collection offices and have made several changes.
Starting with immediate effect, Public Assistance Payments and Payments to Needy Students will now be made by cheque. Special arrangements have been made with the banks in the various districts to facilitate the easy cashing of these cheques for the beneficiaries. All concerned are asked to take note.
